American made Reissue 1962 Fender
Jazz bass, given to me by Erika as a surprise Valentine's day
gift, 2003. Sort of my Holy Grail and very reminiscent of the
very first electric instrument I ever owned, way back in the
sixties.....this bass has the perfect fingerboard radius. Fender
should make 'em all like this. Also has period-authentic reverse
tuners, which I sometimes forget about and tuning on the fly
becomes an adventure. Tone-wise, it has that giant, fat, warm,
round sound that all good Jazz basses have - and dial in a bit
of the bridge pickup, you got yourself a tuba. Stack knob controls
are also cool. |
