Ernie Ball Music Man Bongo 5 HS

Blue Pearl Bongo 5 Ah, a brand new bass every now and then is such a pleasure. I was trying to buy a certain single humbucker Bongo (and I haven't really given up on that one just yet, Biff) but my pal Scott Ball talked me into this particular color and combination. He's smart, that Scott is. This is the humbucker/single coil configuration in Blue Pearl. I had a Bongo with these pickups before, but in Carbon Blue Pearl (also a mighty fine finish) and it was a four banger. That one was good, but this one is even better. Master Inventor, Bass Designer and all around good guy Dudley Gimpel, I am told by someone who should know, redesigned the single coil pickups a while back. I frankly don't recall being disappointed in any way with the original single coils, but I will say that this version smacked me right in the face the first time I dialed it in. Very versatile, very elegant. Brand new from the factory as of 11-05.
