hate to talk too much about this thing, but let's just say that
this is one of the better inexpensive basses ever built. It's
really a Precision Special, made in Mexico, but called the Cowpoke
Precision because Dave Fitch said the pickguard looked sort of
vaguely 'western'. Features what looks to be an ash body, active
P/J pickups with Kubicki style knobs, rosewood board and a neck
that is incredibly reminiscent of the old JP-90s. Got this one off evilBay in July of 2002; in September of 2003, this went to my old pal Ken Foley in Ocean Springs. I'm glad it found a good home - plus, since I know where it is, I can still visit. |
