Operation Porkopolis

 I had long been a fan of the Bears, the Raisins, the Psychodots and any other incarnation of that particular platoon of players - Bob Nyswonger, Rob Fetters, Chris Arduser and sometimes-appearing Adrian Belew. I had a chance to see the 'Dots open for (and play with) Adrian back in 1994 in Santa Cruz and was blown away.

Jump to 2004 or so, and Bob Nyswonger and I are actually "imaginary" internet pals. How cool is that?

Very cool. But not as cool as Bob inviting me and faithful companion Ben up to Ohio to see the Dots play live.
It was like hooking up with an old friend. We had a fine time; Bob and family even gave us a place
to sleep and we stayed up late and drank a lot (not Ben) with Patsy (aka Pat) and John
Schmidt (mostly to thank for the whole relationship) and a cast of others. And we ate spiedies,
not the Euro-trash micro bathing suit, but the lamb on white bread that Bob expertly whipped up.
